SELCO Foundation is an open source, not-for-profit organization that engages in field-based R&D and ecosystem building for the deployment of clean energy solutions that alleviate poverty in tribal, rural and urban poor areas. The organization works in collaboration with practitioners in the social sector, energy entrepreneurs, NGOs from various developmental sectors, and educational institutions to link the benefits of sustainable energy to poverty eradication. The organization works across verticals such as energy access, health, water purification, livelihoods, and enterprise development with practitioners in the social sector, energy entrepreneurs and partners from various developmental sectors

The Role:

This position would require the candidate to work closely with technical team on enhancing the design efficiency, Innovation and technology adoption and Policy research and analysis. End to end support is required for technical team on Market research, deployment, Analysis and documentation. They are expected to be entrepreneurial and adapt to varying situations and organizational requirements. In this role, the candidate would play a key role in ensuring that the technology to be implemented is most efficient, of the highest quality and well suited to user needs.

Key responsibilities for the position:

  • Literature review & market research on the technology and products and submitting the reports to the team.
  • Coordination with external stakeholders on meetings and field visits to get the understanding on the relevant technologies/solutions.
  • Coordination with program team for piloting/testing the technologies.
  • Preparing the case study report from the pilot systems.
  • Study on the government policies related to DRE and submission of the report to the team.
  • Support the team on preparation of documentation for benchmarking technical activities.
  • Willingness to travel across different geographies as per the program requirement.
