SELCO Foundation, an NGO established in 2010 is working on building a holistic ecosystem for sustainable energy access to inspire and implement socially, financially and environmentally inclusive solutions for sustainable development and poverty alleviation. The organization works across verticals such as energy access, build environment, health, skill development, energy entrepreneurs and partners from various developmental sectors. Foundation seeks to inspire and implement socially, financially, and environmentally inclusive solutions by improving access to sustainable energy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research in the suitable technologies for the sector.
  • Conduct preliminary site assessments, data collections and on field evaluations
  • Provide technical support regarding the technologies and train stakeholders on the use of deployed technologies
  • Recommending solar power systems and providing the techno commercial feasibility study based on the field survey
  • Provide support in the selection, design, planning, implementation, and monitoring. Conduct Technical market research for relevant technologies for various geographies across different livelihoods and health value chains for the innovation and scale programs
  • Market research on various technologies, manufacturers, and comprehensive reports with primary focus on sectors.
  • Preparing the product manuals, training documents, and In-depth research documents.
  • Develop solar system designs and on-site trouble shooting as needed.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the technologies implemented.
  • Open to innovation, R&D and improvement in the existing technologies

Qualifications:

  • Graduate with Agri engineering /Electrical/Solar technical background preferred
  • Relevant experience of 3-4 years in renewable energy-solar energy-related experience will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to stay motivated when working independently
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Interest and ability to communicate with communities, stakeholders, and other team members.
  • Interested to work with energy and technology needs for Decentralized renewable energy-based Livelihoods.
