Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Program Manager to lead and drive our global initiatives in renewable energy and sustainable development. The successful candidate will inherit a rich legacy of impactful projects and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our programs, partnerships, and strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Program Implementation & Leadership: Work closely with the Lead of Programs to oversee and manage the global operations of SELCO Foundation's initiatives, primarily focused on Sub-Saharan Africa. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless program execution, impact assessment, and adaptive management.
- Program Strategy and Design: Collaborate with teams to design and refine program strategies, aligning them with organisational goals and global trends. Ensure the integration of diverse perspectives for comprehensive and holistic solutions.
- Program Management: Provide strategic guidance to the incubation, innovation and scale and the energy and health nexus programs across the geographies of the team. Support partner organisations, in implementing programs, help in strategy formation and achieving long goals of the organisation and the program. Work closely with other teams in capturing and gathering learning and building capacities of local anchor partners in institutionalising the same within their programs and thought process.
- Partnership Development: Spearhead the establishment and maintenance of strategic partnerships with governments, NGOs, enterprises, and international organisations. Drive collaborative efforts to scale sustainable energy solutions and enhance community livelihoods.
- Donor Engagement: Engage with potential donors, showcasing the impact and significance of SELCO's work. Prepare compelling proposals and reports to secure funding for ongoing and upcoming projects by also capturing the key learning and helping in strengthening the long term strategy of the programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-8 years of progressive leadership experience in renewable energy, sustainable development, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of decentralised renewable energy solutions and their socio-economic impact.
- Exceptional program management skills, with a proven track record of successful project implementation.
- Excellent partnership development and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualise and execute innovative solutions.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
