The Role:
SELCO Foundation is looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about working on impactful, innovative programs on climate action and poverty alleviation. Using sustainable energy as a catalyst, SELCO works collaboratively with local ecosystem stakeholders to improve access to health and livelihood. As the MEL lead, the individual would be expected to push boundaries on structuring MnE in a manner that it drives for improved learnings for developmental practitioners and program designers. The individual should have a good sectoral understanding, expertise in engaging with different ecosystem stakeholders and understanding their incentives and biases, experience in conducting action research as well as proven experience in team management. Being part of an implementation organization, the individual should be able to adapt to changing requirements from the field- and orient their team accordingly.
Key responsibilities for the position:
- Anchoring and managing (end to end) the MEL portfolio of SELCO Foundation
- Building a sectoral understanding to understand the broader system in which SELCO’s interventions lie, and thus strategise on apt ways to engage and document those projects
- Anchoring critical studies and learning exercises to communicate key practices, approaches and strategy of the programs (in line with the Organization’s Theory of Change)
- Keeping abreast with trends and narratives emerging in the health sector and plan for the team's activities accordingly
- Leading and coordinating for primary and secondary research, data analysis aligned with the team's agenda and focus areas
- Planning for regular opportunities to identify lessons learned and implications for the program moving forward
- Ensuring seamless coordination across different functions of the organization for ease of data monitoring and creation of feedback loops for resolution and learnings
Who can apply:
- Minimum 10 years of work experience, supporting monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Implementation experience is an added advantage
- Interest and experience in systems thinking, human centered design, developmental evaluation and other user based study methodologies are preferred
- Experience in integrating conceptual approaches and narratives with ground realities as well as developing study methodologies for the same
- Ability to process information and create compelling documentation cases for the health sector across SELCO’s geographies
- Ability to grasp audience sensibility and calibrate communications to resonate with different target audiences in the health sector
- Strong skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to learn, grow and develop at personal and professional front, at a rapid pace with a steep learning curve
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel extensively in difficult terrains within and outside the State as and when required
