Job Description:

The Project Coordinator – Livelihoods will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring livelihood development initiatives focused on enhancing income, resilience, and sustainability of rural communities. This includes supporting micro-enterprises, facilitating skill development, and linking communities to relevant market and government ecosystems.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate in developing and managing knowledge and communications materials, such as articles, learning documents. Producing learning briefs, reports, and other written and digital communications.
  • Research entailing both secondary and primary data from a diverse range of stakeholders. Assisting the team in the preparation of feasibility and impact studies.
  • Analyze data and compile reports based on project requirements. Support the team in data interpretation to convey key insights and strategies towards future actions with practical solutions.
  • Supporting the team in community engagement and training sessions, assisting in logistical arrangements for workshops and events.
  • Responsible for fostering partnerships and linkages with government schemes, financial institutions, and market actors to enhance livelihood opportunities. The role involves collaborating with technical partners to provide enterprise training, incubation, and value chain support, while also assisting communities in accessing loans, subsidies, and entitlements that strengthen their economic resilience.
  • The Project Coordinator will be responsible for tracking project progress through defined KPIs and ensuring regular updates in MIS and other data systems. The role also involves documenting success stories, challenges, and lessons learned to capture the project’s impact and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Rural Development, Social Work, Livelihoods, or related fields.
  • Between 2-4 years or above of working experience in social development sector.
  • Strong computer knowledge who is proficient in using various software tools, capable of handling data analysis, documentation, and reporting tasks efficiently.
  • Fluency in English & Bengali both oral and written is mandatory. Proficiency in other languages such as Hindi will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to participate in field activities/surveys and travel to remote areas.
  • Familiarity with tools like value chain analysis, business plan development, and PRA
  • Prior work with NGOs, government programs (like NRLM), or development agencies.
