Role Description
The Field Coordinator- Livelihood will be responsible for leading on-ground coordination, assessment, and implementation of livelihood interventions, community mobilisation. The role focuses on ensuring that energy-enabled livelihood solutions are practical, context-specific, and suitable for remote and hill-based regions of Arunachal Pradesh.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Implementation
- Conduct field-level livelihood and energy assessments, considering terrain, accessibility, and workspace limitations.
- Ensure solutions are suitable for low-access, remote, and dispersed settlements.
- Support installation and adoption of sustainable energy solutions for livelihood enhancement.
2. Local Partner & Institutional Coordination
- Coordinate with local NGOs, Village Councils, and district-level government departments.
- Facilitate convergence with relevant state schemes in Arunachal Pradesh.
- Act as the key interface between beneficiaries and SELCO’s technical, program, and operations teams.
3. Pilot Support in Remote Contexts
- Support piloting of energy-efficient livelihood solutions in remote areas.
- Monitor performance, usability, and durability under challenging terrain and weather conditions.
- Identify and address early-stage technical or operational issues through field coordination.
4. Data Collection, Documentation & Reporting
- Collect and maintain accurate field data on beneficiaries, livelihood activities, installations, and usage.
- Document field insights, challenges, and contextual adaptations required.
- Share regular reports and updates with the central program team.
5. Documentation & Case Study Development
- Develop short case studies capturing the problem statement, intervention, adoption journey, and livelihood outcomes (quantitative and qualitative).
- Collect beneficiary narratives, photos/consent (as per internal protocols), and quotes for communication and reporting needs.
- Maintain a field documentation repository (visit notes, success stories, learnings, and contextual adaptations) and ensure version control.
- Support monitoring and evaluation by ensuring timely data cleaning, verification, and triangulation from multiple sources (beneficiaries, partners, vendors).
- Coordinate with the central communications/program teams to draft and review case study content for internal/external dissemination.
6. Community Engagement & Follow-up
- Build strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders.
- Conduct awareness sessions and regular follow-ups to ensure effective usage of solutions.
- Gather feedback to improve program design and implementation.
Experience & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of field-level experience in livelihoods, rural development, energy access, or related sectors.
- Prior experience working in Northeast India or other remote/hilly regions is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively in remote and challenging terrains.
- Basic understanding of livelihood value chains and rural contexts.
