About the program

'Solarize Your Agro Enterprise' Program is an initiative aimed at promoting the integration of Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE), specifically solar power, into small and medium-scale enterprises engaged in processing and value addition activities within the agriculture, animal husbandry, and allied sectors throughout India.

The primary goal of the Solarize Your Agro Enterprise program is to establish benchmarks and strengthen the ecosystem for food processing enterprises to adopt sustainable practices, particularly in the realm of Decentralized Renewable Energy.

Key Roles and Responsibilities of the Consultant:

The consultant will play a crucial role in the successful execution of the program. The key responsibilities of the consultant include:

Supporting Enterprises:

  • Assist 25 enterprises in the application process.
  • Encourage and recommend enterprises that align with the program's objectives to apply.

    Committee Participation:
  • Attend shortlisting committee meetings to provide insights and expertise.
  • Participate in finalization/selection committee meetings for the identification of eligible enterprises.

Deliverables

The consultant will help in generating about 25 applications for the program. For this, the consultant will be required to work for minimum of 5 days every month for the same.

Enterprise Recommendations:

  • Recommend and shortlist 25 enterprises that either have established or are in the process of establishing processing/food units.

    Application Support:
  • Support 25 enterprises in completing the application form for the Solarize Your Agro Enterprise program.

    Deployment Facilitation:
  • Facilitate deployment with coordination support to selected enterprises, including assistance in due diligence, collection of necessary documents, and submission of implementation reports.

Work experience:

The consultant needs to have minimum 20 years of work experience in the development sector.
