Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to lead the development of an ecosystem for Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) solutions in the Northeast, specifically targeting the enhancement of agricultural production and processing. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to promote clean energy interventions that improve the livelihoods of small farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will be responsible for building ecosystem in northeast for promotion of Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) solutions for the improvement of agriculture – production and processing by:
          
    • Forging and nurturing partnership with all relevant stakeholders.
    • Framing short-term and medium-term strategy for promotion of improved technology and clean energy interventions in agriculture and related livelihoods with small farmers.
  • S/he will lead the agriculture vertical of the implementation unit in Guwahati.
  • Will help in maintaining MIS.
  • Will co-ordinate and co-operate with other team members.
  • Having high appetite to learn new things, acquire new skills.
  • Have entrepreneurial skill to drive a programme.
  • Have understanding in value chain specifically related to agricultural produces.

Who should apply:

  • Should have good understanding of Northeast and the context, preferably from NE.
  • Knowing any of the local languages of NE States is preferred.
  • Should have good documentation, articulation, presentation and reporting skill.
  • Should have experience / be comfortable in working in a team.
  • Self-driven with setting high professional standards.
  • Willingness to travel
  • 5-8 Years of experience in relevant sector
