Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to oversee our textile and craft portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing innovation and scaling solutions that are inclusive and pro-poor. This role will require collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of strategies that enhance accessibility and sustainability within the textile and craft industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Strategy Development: Design and implement strategic plans for the textile and craft portfolio that align with the organization's mission and values, emphasizing pro-poor and inclusive solutions.
- Innovation Management: Identify, develop, and promote innovative practices and technologies within the textile and craft sectors that can be scaled to improve livelihoods and empower marginalized communities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including artisans, NGOs, governmental bodies, and private sector partners to ensure collaboration and successful implementation of initiatives.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop metrics and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, ensuring that outcomes align with the intended goals of inclusivity and poverty alleviation.
- Budget Management: Oversee budget allocation and expenditure, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting program goals.
- Capacity Building: Facilitate training sessions and workshops to strengthen skills among artisans and promote best practices in sustainable textile and craft production.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on program progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, Textile Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in program management, preferably in the textile and craft industries or related sectors.
- Proven track record of managing inclusive and pro-poor initiatives, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalised communities.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build lasting partnerships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
