Position: Program Manager – Training & Capacity building

SELCO Foundation is an open source, not for profit organization that engages in field-based R&D and ecosystem building for deployment of clean energy solutions that alleviate poverty in tribal, rural and urban poor areas. The organization works in collaboration with practitioners in the social sector, energy entrepreneurs, NGOs from various developmental sectors and educational institutions to link the benefits of sustainable energy to poverty eradication.

Job Description:

SELCO Foundation's Livelihood Scale Team works across a broad spectrum of projects collaborating with various ecosystem stakeholders to institutionalize Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) - led livelihoods and build a strong foundation of evidence for their impact. This multifaceted team takes a hands-on approach, directly implementing programs on the ground while simultaneously fostering partnerships with multiple stakeholders within the ecosystem.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design workshops and interactive sessions for dissemination of solutions/program approaches
  • Facilitation of workshop and cross learning activities for relevant teams
  • Facilitation of workshop and cross learning activities for external stakeholders such as end users, NGO partners, government and financial institutions, etc
  • Facilitate development of training modules and content
  • Archiving all knowledge documents for easy access
  • Analyse the gaps/opportunity for internal and external uptake of solutions
  • Develop and document process for integration of solutions
  • Work closely with innovation team and geography teams across 5 states
  • Develop a plan for each quarter for solutions/program approach learnings to be disseminated with internal teams from innovation to scale phase

Key Requirements

  • An interest and passion on issues related to development and poverty alleviation across different livelihoods
  • Adept at coordinating between multiple team members, community members and other entities
  • Analytical in approach and ideating towards problem solving
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with grassroot stakeholders
  • Willing to undertake regular field visits for training / hand-holding of staff members
  • Willingness to travel for About 5-10 days in a month (Local and Outstation)
