About the Role

Job Description: The built environment team within the SELCO foundation works across a large spectrum of projects looking at infrastructure needs for the poor. The program types range from housing, livelihoods, healthcare and other public institutions. Suitable candidates should have experience in handling partnerships, partner relationship development and with experience in the construction industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Anchor key partnerships with governments, NGOs, technology innovators suited within the organisation portfolio
  • Take lead on partnership development, implementation targets, and managing program budgets.
  • Guide and mentor the team with technical inputs on project planning activities
  • Provide inputs, information and analysis for quarterly, annual and other reports showcasing implementation models and impacts
  • Monitor and evaluate overall progress of the programme.
  • Work with team leads/ geography leads to streamline program operations at regular intervals and review quality for further improvement
  • Undertake regular visits to the project sites

Key Requirements

  • Prior experience in working with the construction industry and/or in operations within the development sector
  • Project and finance management experience
  • An interest on issues related to access of construction services for the poor
  • Adept at coordinating between multiple team members, community members etc
  • Analytical in approach and problem solving
  • Strong organisational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with grassroot stakeholders
