  • Design systems considering load requirements, voltage, wattage, battery capacity, and usage patterns.
  • Develop appropriate technical configurations suited to remote and hill-based contexts.

2. Installation & Technical Implementation

  • Oversee installation of solar systems, machines, and related equipment.
  • Ensure quality control, safety standards, and proper system integration.
  • Provide on-ground technical guidance during implementation.

3. Pilot Technology & Innovation

  • Support testing and deployment of new and pilot technologies.
  • Evaluate performance, efficiency, and adaptability in field conditions.
  • Identify improvements and support scaling of successful solutions.

4. Operations, Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor system performance, including solar panels, batteries, and machines.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in coordination with field teams and vendors.

  • Coordinate with program, operations, and field teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support vendor management and technical procurement processes.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, system designs, and installation records.
  • Share regular updates on progress, challenges, and technical performance.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards and internal protocols.

7. Documentation & Case Study Development

  • Create technical case notes for each pilot/installation (system sizing rationale, configuration, BOM, and deviations from standard design with justification).
  • Maintain commissioning and handover documentation (test results, as-built drawings, O&M checklists, warranties) in a structured repository.
  • Document performance baselines and post-installation observations to support impact measurement and future design improvements.
  • Capture technical learnings from failures/repairs (root cause, corrective actions, preventive measures) and share as internal learning briefs.
  • Collaborate with program teams to contribute technical inputs to external case studies, proposals, and donor reports.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.Tech) – preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
  • 2–3 years of experience in solar energy systems, rural energy solutions, or technical project implementation.
  • Experience in system design, load calculations, and field-level technical execution.
  • Prior experience in Northeast India or remote/hilly regions is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of solar systems (panels, batteries, inverters, load management).
  • Ability to design and adapt solutions based on field conditions.
  • Project management skills, including tracking milestones and timelines.
  • Problem-solving approach with hands-on technical capability.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
