The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, in partnership with SELCO Foundation (SF), hosted “Climate-Smart Nagaland: Advancing Health and Livelihood Resilience” on 28 May 2026 in Kohima. The event brought together stakeholders to review progress, strengthen partnerships, and advance climate-resilient development.A key highlight was the deployment of renewable energy solutions in 325 health facilities, improving healthcare access in remote areas. Deputy Chief Minister Shri T.R. Zeliang, present on the occasion, emphasized the need for cross-departmental collaboration, while Dr. Harish Hande (SF) highlighted energy access as vital for equitable healthcare.
The event reaffirmed Nagaland’s commitment to decentralized clean energy solutions for resilient healthcare and rural livelihoods.
