| Expected area of expertise | •Occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomics in small-scale food/agro-processing settings. •Diagnosis and mitigation of workplace hazards such as airborne particulates, dust, smoke, heat stress, burns and machine-related injury. •Workspace and layout design and improvement for small-scale rural processing units (jaggery processing units). •Energy-efficient, climate-responsive and ergonomic design that reduces drudgery and worker exposure. •Preparation of architectural working drawings, 2D and 3D visualisations and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). •Documentation of safety, hygiene and food-safety practices, including applicable statutory references. •Experience working with vulnerable and economically disadvantaged individual end users engaged in jaggery-based and food-processing livelihoods in rural settings. •Experience in Karnataka jaggery clusters (Pandavapura, Mandya district, and North Karnataka / Hubballi–Dharwad) will be an advantage. |
